The Baojun Yep is a three-door, four-seat electric mini SUV from SGMW, the same manufacturer behind the Wuling Mini. In China, it sells for the equivalent of $12,000 CAD depending on trim. The Yep Plus, five-door model was released last year with just a slight price increase. This model has been very popular, selling over 25,000 units.
Compact, efficient vehicles like these are what Vancouver Island drivers could be driving tomorrow, once the regulatory door is opened.
