Salt Spring Island Fall Fair. Salt Spring Island has held the title of highest EVs/capita in North America going back over a decade. According to Jim Standen, the former team lead for the Salt Spring Island EV Social Club, a couple of other Capital Regional Districts may have surpassed them, which is actually encouraging from an EV adoption perspective.
At yesterday's Fall Fair, Jim & I talked with several Island Trust candidates running in the October election and between conversations we talked about one big idea, making Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands - The New Energy Vehicle Capital of Canada.
